The NLP Free Discovery Phase is a structured, practical, and thought-provoking three-session process designed to help you think clearly, understand what matters most, and make informed decisions about your personal and professional direction.

Each session builds on the one before it. Each includes simple actions that help you return with deeper insight. Together, they help you get significantly better answers, which lead to significantly better results.
Your Three Sessions Explained
Session 1 — Vision & Direction
We start with a structured conversation to clarify what you want and why.
We explore:
- your immediate and longer-term goals
- the opportunities and challenges you’re navigating
- where you want greater clarity
- The motivation behind your ambitions
- What success genuinely looks like
You leave Session 1 with a clearer sense of direction and a simple action to complete before the next session.
This action typically takes no more than 20 minutes and helps you return with better insight and stronger answers.
Session 2 — Leadership & Stakeholder Insight
This session focuses on how you operate in a leadership or professional context.
We explore:
- how others perceive your leadership or working style
- the strengths you’re known for
- the areas you want to invest in
- the themes that matter most in your world
We typically use:
- The Marshall Goldsmith Leadership Assessment
- Stakeholder Feed-Forward (briefed in Session 1)
The feed-forward exercise gives you practical, future-focused insights from the people who matter most.
It is deliberately simple — and consistently one of the most valuable parts of the process.
Session 3 — Behavioural Intelligence & Strategic Focus
The final session deepens your self-awareness and sharpens your strategic direction. We explore your behavioural preferences, decision-making patterns, and how you operate under pressure.
We may use one or more tools such as:
- The Global ICQ Psychometric
- The Value Proposition Blueprint (optional, especially for leaders and founders)
- Executive Coaching Check-In Framework (optional)
We bring everything together to help you understand:
- your patterns
- your priorities
- your roadmap
- your next steps
You leave Session 3 with greater clarity and a grounded understanding of your future direction.
What Happens Between Sessions
Each session concludes with one or two simple agreed actions for you to complete before the next conversation. These tasks:
- are fully explained
- take no more than 20 minutes
- support clearer thinking
- consistently produce stronger insights
We’ve found that clients who complete these reflections return with significantly better answers, leading to better results across their entire development journey.
You will also be briefed on the feed-forward exercise during Session 1, giving you time to gather valuable insights without pressure.
How Long Does the Discovery Phase Take
Most people complete the process within:
- 2 to 4 weeks
The timing is flexible and shaped around your schedule.
What You Need to Prepare
Very little.
You only need:
- an open mind
- a willingness to reflect

- commit to any programme
The Discovery Phase is about clarity — not pressure.
