Essential NLP Training Content for Practitioners and Coaches

Our NLP training (neuro-linguistic programming) programmes cover the core principles designed to equip you with the tools to address your client’s specific needs. Like an artist creating masterpieces from a limited palette, you can master these foundational skills to adapt and tailor NLP techniques efficiently and effectively.

Core NLP Training Content

All our programmes include the following key components:

Part 1 – Free Discovery Session: Explore what makes the programme most valuable. No commitment is required until after this phase. Participants who complete this discovery phase typically achieve significantly more from the programme.

Part 2 – NLP Coaching for Success: Develop essential NLP coaching skills to support others and yourself.

Part 3 – NLP for Personal Change: Further amplify your coaching skills. Learn and apply powerful NLP tools for profound personal growth and transformation.

Part 4 – Integration and Certification: Finalise your learning journey, gain certification, and receive ongoing guidance for further study and development.

NLP Certification

It’s best to treat our programmes as an adventure to achieve certification. Throughout the programme, you must demonstrate curiosity, ambition, courage, discipline, humility, and honesty. Active engagement and completing the tasks you commit to are required.

Our Practitioner, Business Practitioner, Master Practitioner, and Coach Practitioner programmes are all certified by Michael Beale, ensuring that our certifications meet the highest global standards in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

The discovery phase allows you to ‘test’ how well we work together before fully committing to the programme. Most clients are surprised by how much they learn and really enjoy the adventure.

Phase 1 – Discovery Sessions

This is where we find out what actually matters to you — not what you think should matter. Everything that follows is shaped by what we uncover here.

Everyone has unique mental maps influenced by ego, cognitive biases, and blind spots. This phase lets you navigate these and clarify how the programme can best serve your personal and professional development.

During this phase, we will explore:

  • Setting clear direction and milestones
  • Identifying focus and development areas
  • Leadership assessments and ICQ global psychometric testing
  • Stakeholder feed-forward

This discovery phase is crucial for tailoring your learning experience to maximise the outcomes.

Phase 2 – NLP Coaching for Success

This is where you build the coaching backbone that everything else hangs on. Most clients say this is where they realise how much they’d been winging it.

Our Success System will empower you to thrive even when the world seems to turn against you, ensuring you constantly move in a direction that benefits you and those closest to you.

  • Appreciate what we have now, whatever it is! Learn how to find joy in the journey itself.
  • Our Direction: Our North Star(s): What would we key into the sat nav of our life? Identify the 3–6 most important goals that guide us.
  • Managing Time, Energy, and Focus: Learn to manage these critical resources wisely daily and monthly to maximise productivity. This includes Building Mental and Physical Resistance.
  • Complete a minimum of three viable actions that will move us forward daily.
  • Feed-Forward, Feedback, Connecting to our Sensory Experience and Continual Learning: Develop a mindset of continual improvement through proactive feed-forward and ongoing learning.

Our NLP coaching model builds significantly on the renowned GROW+ framework (goals, reality, options, way forward) and provides the tools necessary to foster personal and professional success. You will learn:

  • Setting the Beginning Frame: What is agreed upon at the start of each programme and/or session shapes our focus, experiences, and results.
  • Understanding States: Learn how emotional states influence your interactions and how to access your internal resources for success. This includes submodalities, eye-accessing cues and anchoring.
  • Direction and Goal Setting: Establish a clear direction and concrete goals and outcomes that align with your personal or leadership objectives. It may be more effective when preceded by a ‘values’ exercise.
  • Building Rapport: Develop trust and rapport to enhance communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Meta Model: Cultivate practical questioning skills to uncover critical information and resolve challenges. Part of a series of approaches such as connecting to our senses in the present, journalling after-action reviews, and daily questions that help us clarify where we are now.
  • Action Steps: Identify clear, actionable steps to help you achieve your desired outcomes — minimum viable actions.
  • Mental Rehearsal (Future Pacing): Leverage mental rehearsal techniques to improve performance and enhance the likelihood of success.
  • End Frame and Follow-Up: Conclude each session by summarising key points and reinforcing positive results. Follow-up is essential to elevate performance from good to exceptional.

Phase 3 – NLP for Personal Change

This is where the toolkit deepens. Phase 2 gave you the coaching structure; this phase gives you the instruments to create lasting change — in yourself and others.

Covered in our NLP personal change phase, you will delve into key NLP techniques for personal transformation:

  • Affirmations: Design affirmations that help you focus on priorities and drive your success.
  • Amplifying and Managing Emotions: Master emotional intelligence by learning to manage and lead your internal states.
  • Belief Change and NLP Presuppositions: Identify limiting and sub-optimal beliefs and replace them with empowering ones to enhance performance.
  • Hypnosis and Meditation: Explore how hypnosis can facilitate positive change and how meditation can improve mental clarity and decision-making.
  • Perceptual Positions: Gain insight into different perspectives to enhance empathy and improve behaviour.
  • Phobia Cure & Six-Step Reframing: Apply proven techniques to overcome fears and reframe limiting thinking and behaviour patterns.
  • Meta Programmes: Discover how Meta Programmes (similar to DISC or Myers-Briggs) can improve relationship-building, recruitment, presentations, and team dynamics.
  • Modelling High Performers: Learn how to model the strategies of high achievers and replicate their results.
  • Storytelling for Change: Use storytelling as a powerful tool to inspire change and engage your audience.
  • Strategic Thinking: Master NLP strategies high performers use to achieve their goals.
  • Timelines: Utilise timelines as a practical tool for planning, problem-solving, and achieving long-term success.

Phase 4 – Integration, Certification, and Further Study

This is where you prove it to yourself. Not a test — a demonstration that you own these skills and can use them under pressure.

In this final phase, we focus on integrating everything you’ve learned, demonstrating your competence, and planning your next steps. Upon successful completion, you will receive certification and recommendations for continued study to deepen your expertise in NLP.

NLP Training Content: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: How does 1:1 NLP training differ from a group course?

A: Everything is built around you — your direction, your goals, your pace, your context. There’s no generic curriculum to sit through. We work with your real situations, real clients, and real challenges from day one. Group courses teach NLP in theory; 1:1 training develops it as a living skill you can deploy under pressure.

Q: What if I already have coaching qualifications or NLP experience?

A: We meet you where you are. The discovery sessions identify what you already do well and where the gaps are. Experienced coaches typically find that the programme sharpens and integrates skills they’ve been using loosely, rather than starting from scratch. Your prior experience accelerates the work — it doesn’t make it redundant.

Q: How much time per week does the programme require?

A: Expect one session per week (typically 60–90 minutes) plus practice tasks between sessions. The real learning happens between sessions — applying what we’ve covered to your actual work and life. Most clients find it energising rather than burdensome because the work is immediately relevant.

Q: What happens if I don’t meet the certification requirements?

A: We’ll know long before that point. The programme is competence-based, not calendar-based, so we adjust pace rather than push you through. If something isn’t landing, we work on it until it does. Certification marks genuine capability, not attendance.
