NLP Discovery Sessions – Your Path to Clarity and Confident Commitment

The Discovery phase does three things before you invest a penny:

  1. Clarifies what you actually want—not what you think you should want, but the direction that would make your life and work genuinely better.
  2. Confirms whether we can work together—saving you time if the fit isn’t right, and establishing clear rapport if it is.
  3. Tests your commitment through action—you’ll complete a Vision Roadmap, assess your leadership capabilities, and gather live feedforward from people who know you. This isn’t a chat; it’s a working process with real output.

This isn’t a sales conversation disguised as generosity. It’s the beginning of the work itself.

Our Ideal Client Profile

You’re a senior leader, entrepreneur, or professional who knows something needs to shift—but you’re not yet clear on what, or how. You’re not looking for a generic course. You’re looking for a thinking partner who will challenge you, clarify your direction, and hold you to a higher standard than you’d set alone.

As with all my programmes, I partner exclusively with clients who are prepared to demonstrate five core traits throughout our work together: Ambition, Courage, Discipline, Humility, and Honesty.

Your commitment: Treat this as a learning adventure. Be engaged. Take an active part throughout. Show up ready to do the thinking—not wait for instructions.

Ready to explore whether this is right for you?

What You Will Complete

The Vision Roadmap

A structured set of questions designed to surface your goals, milestones, immediate focus areas, strengths, development priorities, and alignment—connecting daily actions to long-term direction. Sections include:

  • What’s Working Well
  • End Goals & Direction (3–6 goals, 5–10 year horizon)
  • Visualising Success
  • Milestones & Immediate Focus Areas
  • Core Strengths & Talents
  • Development Areas & Possible Blockers
  • Alignment (action → ambition → aspiration → benefit to others)
  • Mental and Physical Resilience

Leadership Self-Assessment

Rate your current leadership capabilities and identify development areas using an established framework—including stakeholder management, building partnerships, leading change, empowering people, creating a shared vision, and developing technological savvy.

Feedforward Exercise

Gather specific, future-focused suggestions from 4–5 people who know your work. This isn’t backwards-looking feedback; it’s practical input on what to do next. You bring the results back, and we use them to shape your programme focus. Most clients find this single exercise more useful than days of seminar lectures.

What This Looks Like in Practice

A senior leader came in unsure whether he wanted executive coaching or NLP training. Through the Vision Roadmap, he realised his real goal was autonomy—not another corporate promotion. We redirected the entire programme toward building his advisory practice. He never would have made that decision without the Discovery process forcing clarity first.

An HR director completed the feedforward exercise expecting confirmation of her existing strengths. Instead, three stakeholders independently flagged the same blind spot. That single insight shaped her entire six-month programme—and she later noted it was the most valuable feedback she had ever received.

What You Won’t Get

  • No generic personality quizzes that tell you what you already know.
  • No rigid, pre-packaged coaching frameworks that ignore your context.
  • No sales pressure to commit before you’re ready.
  • No wasted time—yours or mine.

Complimentary 1:1 Discovery

As detailed above, I offer an initial, confidential 30-minute video session to explore what you want and answer your questions plainly.

If we both agree it makes sense to go further, we move to three complimentary discovery sessions to test mutual fit, audit your baseline, and confirm we will work well together before any financial commitment.

NLP Discovery Sessions: FAQs

Q: What happens on the initial 30-minute call?

A: We explore what you want to achieve, discuss your background, and confirm whether moving to the three Discovery sessions makes sense for both of us. No pressure, no pitch—just an honest conversation about fit.

Q: What is the Vision Roadmap?

A: A structured framework covering your end goals, milestones, focus areas, strengths, development priorities, and alignment. You discuss it with me first, complete it in your own time, and use it as the working baseline for everything that follows. It is iterative—you can update it as your thinking sharpens.

Q: What’s the feedforward exercise?

A: You ask 4–5 colleagues or stakeholders a simple, future-focused question about what you could do better. You bring their responses back to our session, giving us real-world data—not assumptions—to shape your development priorities.

Q: Do I have to commit to a full programme after Discovery?

A: No. The Discovery phase is designed to give you clarity and a genuine experience of the work. If the fit isn’t right for either of us, we part ways with no obligation. If it is right, you’ll know exactly what you’re committing to and why.
